Visited with a group of 14 friends in town to celebrate a joint bachelor and bachelorette weekend in Louisville. The racetrack is of course an icon, but the experience of kicking back with friends, having afternoon drinks, placing bets, and cheering on the horses was...More

Lovely old race track. Staff is outstanding! We went on a Friday and it was a little rainy so the park wasn't very crowded. I'd like to go back and do the museum and tour. A fun day and even with betting on 8 races,...More

Plan to spend some time at this iconic venue. The Kentucky Derby Museum was well worth the visit and time spent. It is so much more than a museum. There are several interactive exhibits that we, as adults, enjoyed. Several tours are offered, some free...More

They made us feel welcome and we saw the whole place - no racing that day but we saw it all - Highly recommended

Every Thursday races for little money for everybody. We even got entrance tickets for free upon arrival. We just sat where we wanted, no checking. Music, some food, horses... good fun! Recommended even for race newbies like myself.

You can feel the tradition as you walk in and see the twin spires. A great racing venue with great history.

I am still in awe that I was able to tour Churchill Downs and literally walk down onto the track where so much history has been made. I felt like I was on hallowed ground. The guides are amazing, and I learned so much!

We attended the Kentucky Derby. It was a fun day. It rained all day, but we had a good time. Lots of vendors for food, drink and memorabilia.

One of the most beautiful horse tracks we have been to. We had box seats at finish line did not expect folding chairs. Women's bathroom line unbelievably long. It rained ,that was ok. What wasn't was the construction work and no insight into getting crowds...More

I love going to Churchill Downs. Beautiful place and huge. Be prepared to get lost LOL. Try the Oaks Lily cocktail (made with cranberry juice). Yummy buffet.

There are plenty of good seats & if you are lucky, like we were, you can get VIP box that someone is not using that day. We did, but I was exercise riding at Belmont Park.
