The grandkids were bored after the first two races, but the general admission tickets are so reasonable it was OK that we didn’t stay for all the races. The adult kids loved it.

Our friends arranged for a VIP tour of Churchill Downs via golf cart with personal guide and lunch included. Approximately four hours at the track and grounds. Outstanding experience and can’t begin to list all that was learned and experienced. Just watching the morning workouts...More

The buffet was much better 4 or 5 years ago. They now have very limited foods; Mac and cheese, boiled chicken, and some mystery meat. Even the deserts are limited to a couple kinds of cookies and brownies. The service was also poor. IMO, this...More

What an event! We had great seats right before the finish line and had a great time. Rich in heritage and easily hundreds of thousands of people there, it was still very civilized and the locale very gracious.

Churchill Downs was my son’s favorite part of visiting Louisville! We all loved going on the behind the scenes tour and hearing all the stories. The museum is also very well done and worth spending the time going through and learning more about the Derby...More

Very informative tour and museum. A must see if you are in the area. Didn’t realize so must about the sport. Don’t miss the movie either.

We've never been to a horse race but always watch the Kentucky Derby. We really enjoyed the tour and the information provided by our guide. We would like to return and watch a race.

Loved the museum. Guided tour part of the price of admission. We learned a lot. There is a must see movie as well.

I would do Thursday and do the tours. Plus night racing is always fun. And I think Thursday is also when they have the food trucks, so that’s a different spin as well. Enjoy!
