Louisville was experiencing unseasonably warm temperatures the first week in October but we still wanted to get out and walk. We found Cherokee Park ideal with all of its shady trails. We could easily walk 6 miles mostly in the shade, some trails are paved...More

Despite the heat, this was a beautiful loop to stroll. The homes surround the park are lovely to look at and the park itself is beautifully kept. A real jewel of the community. Worth the trip for a walk or bike.

No fee to get in, and I am with you on the age and all, but we ride/walk and I suggest the fall to do the walk/ride. It is hilly but I suggest to drive it and pick your area, some hills are worse than others.
