Cherokee Park is wonderful. It is well kept, beautifully designed by Frederick Law Olmsted and easily accessible. There are beautiful trails and paths. I would recommend that some trails be only for walking as it being run over by a cyclist is possible. All in all it is a wonderful, refreshing place with many a feast for the eyes.

That's what you might ask yourself when you get lost in the lush trails of Cherokee Park. This urban park is a huge loop with off shoot trails for biking and hiking. Very dog friendly and where many of the native Louisvillians go to relax.

Cherokee Park is great for walking, running, biking, hiking, playing with your pets, bringing a lunch, meetings friends, or riding sleds in the winter snow. There are many great art shows throughout the year in the area of the park, as well as wonderful restaurants to visit after a day in the park.

Cherokee Park has a great running loop through the whole thing. I don't know exactly how long it is, but on a nice day, the place is packed with runners, bikers, and walkers. If you're visiting Louisville in good weather, I definitely recommend going for a run through Cherokee Park!

Beautiful Park. Great drive. In the winter, bundle up, go to a pavilion with a fireplace and stay warm.

I am so fortunate to live within a short distance from a beautiful gem in the crown of Louisville's public parks. Cherokee Park has so many opportunities, and it has something for park visitors of all ages. The park offers basketball and tennis courts, a picturesque golf course, a nice enclosed area for dogs, various play areas, and a walking/running... More

Cherokee Park is a wonderful place to spend the day with family or just you and your pet. The park has a dog park, but you'll want to walk it since it is a very friendly safe place. Beautiful homes surround the park with their historic value. Trails are easy or go into the hilly area's for more of a... More

A great place to observe wildlife and protected flora. It can get crowded during summer, but if you'd rather avoid too many people, go when the weather is cooler. There is still so much to see.

Excellent park for trails and playground equipment for the younger toddlers. We picnicked and let the little ones run wild over the playground. Very enjoyable couple of hours
