I visit cemeteries wherever I travel as I find the architecture and the landscaping typically quite beautiful. I wasn't as much interested at looking at the celebrities buried there as much as just enjoying a peaceful walk. And this place delivered. It's a beautiful place,...More

This would probably be last on our list to visit anywhere! A cemetery? Boy, was I very, very, wrong! Awesome landscaping, ponds, trees, statues and monuments of many famous people. It is the burial site for over 5,000 soldiers killed in the Civil War and...More

The caretaker, tour guide (I don't know what to call him) took us all around explained the history of the cemetery. You could hear the passion in his voice when he spoke about Cave Hill.

Beautiful place. Colonel Sanders and Muhammad Ali both have their final resting places here. Easy to find ones way around.

We went to pay respects to Mohammed Ali and were so surprised...the stones are beautiful artwork, each one is amazing. Take some time to come here, I have never seen anything like it in my life.

We went through this cemetery the last time we were in town as well. It is beautiful. The trees, flowers, headstones and sculptures are a true tribute to the loved ones that are buried here. Well worth your time.

So, taking in a good cemetary on your vacation may not seem like a must-do. But this is Louisville, and to an extent, the nation's history, all in one place. The graves of Ali and Col. Sanders are there, But it's impossible to see the...More

3833.9 miles from the canal to the cemetery. You can easily walk it if you have enough time.

It is definitely worth visiting...the most beautiful cemetery I've ever seen. My nephew is laid to rest there.
