If you happen to walk across the river from Cincinnati, take a few extra blocks to see the World Peace Bell. It's beautifully maintained and you can get right up close if you want to

Interesting memorial to local firefighters and the FDNY firefighters who lost their lives on 9/11. Within very easy walking distance of Newport on the Levee. You can see the bell and all of the memorial in just 15 minutes or so.

Stopping to see the bell is worthwhile if you are in the area. I found a parking meter right next to the plaza area, so parking was not an issue.

This Bell is BIG missed it being chimed by 1 day. Very well displayed for all to see. Information sheets on the bell are at the doors to the Building. This is so well done and impressive that it is worth a visit..

Very nice memorial to the First Responders of 9/11. Lets always remember their bravery and their loved ones. The Peace inscription on the walkway was fitting for the Memorial. A must ser ehen in Downtown

This exhibit/display is outdoors in a small park setting. Surrounded with screen metal enclosure, The bell is large and I can only assume that it rings too.
