Took our friends who were visiting and are Spirit filled Christians and felt the spirit upon driving on the premises. While on the property they wept, and were in awe. We'll be returning with our staff Memorial Day weekend.

Those interested in Restoration History must visit here. The curator gave us a tour while closed for the winter. A donation is appreciated. The old church has been well preserved and may be visited by groups or reserved for meetings. It is not heated and our visit was abbreviated due to the 25 degree morning. Well worth a guided tour... I had a little time to kill around Paris so found this place on line. Beautiful drive out into house country. Nice little museum, which was unexpected. The grounds are lovely, worth a walk around. The Meeting House was interesting, I would have liked to see it. If not for the student pastors singing their way to ecstasy I would... More

My husband & I both are very interested in the histories of churches. While vacationing with some friends that had been here before, they recommended we stop here & tour the grounds of Cane Ridge Meeting House. The original church is housed inside a larger building. We enjoyed walking around the grounds after the meeting house tour. This attraction was... More

This is an impressive preservation of history. The original building is now housed inside a larger building. It is worth the drive to get there. Enjoy the scenery en route.

Cane Ridge Meeting house is worth the drive. Scenic roads lead you to a peaceful location in the countryside. Touring the original meeting house is like stepping back in time. Even our children found the place intriguing. Our 11 year old said that she could feel emotions from time itself, prayers and tears offered up to God in that place.... More

We were in Paris for the Claiborne Farms tour and decided to stop and check out this meeting House..so glad we did...it is so wonderfully preserved and there was someone there to answer any questions you may have. There is no charge to walk thru...Be sure to stop if you are in the area.

Cane Ridge, and what occurred there in 1801, dramatically reduced the amount of violence, drunkenness, and immorality in this young Nation. Positive changes in the moral landscape may have indirectly led to the Civil War because of enhanced love for God and other people - even those of different backgrounds and skin color. According to the best military "head counters"... More

This place features a wonderfully, and uniquely, preserved log church which is the "mother church" for 4 major religions and what we know as the "Restoration Movement." The structure is contained within a modern building which shelters it. Staff was outstanding; grounds beautiful; museum so-so; information compelling and informative. The place is a little bit challenging to find if you... More

My lady friend and I visited here June 19, 2015 on our way to Natural Bridge state park. We first went to Paris to see the sights and the lady at the visitor center recommended seeing the meeting house. As a Presbyterian pastor I am interested in the history of our denomination in the US and Cane Ridge was originally... More
