There are few reptile collections that can compare to the diversity of animals on display at the Kentucky Reptile Zoo. Animals on exhibit range from an 18 foot reticulated python, our largest resident, to many types of venomous snakes such as cobras, mambas, cottonmouth, copperheads, taipans and rattlesnakes, to an American Alligator. One of the favorite areas for kids is our Turtle Tracks Area, where both tortoises and aquatic turtles can be seen. Live reptile shows at 1, 3 and 5pm.

I recently visited with a homeschool group of teenage girls. They were completely amazed and enthralled by the beauty and variety of this collection of reptiles! The grounds and buildings are modest, but inside they house a world renowned number of venomous snakes, organized by...More

This little reptile zoo has a good variety of snales, mostly venomous, from all over the world. The staff is very knowledgable. I was lucky enough to see a venom extraction from a very large King cobra named "Puppy". This procedure is a very serious...More

It costs 10 dollars a person for the tour. They guide you around each exhibit and answer questions that you have. If you have fun with it and ask questions you will have a blast. It is fairly short but if you get a chance...More

You are lead through the exhibits by a guide. You go into different shed like structures to view different reptiles, and you get a very informational tour.

I brought my fiancé here as it is somewhere he's wanted to go for a while. We traveled to this area specifically for this. We were very pleased to receive a personal tour. Beautiful snakes, well taken care of, clean. Very neat to see all...More

They have so many different species of snakes that you'll never get to see anywhere. You get to watch them extract the venom from them. It's a really cool place to stop and visit with your kids.

We took my son's family (nine grandchildren, ages 1 to 18) on a hot August day. This is not a place to come if you want to get cool (or need to use the bathroom -- no public bathrooms here, always a concern when travelling...More

Was a nice visit. Something cool to do if you're a fan of reptiles. I would have loved to be able to hold some of the non venomous snakes though. You just look at everything through the glass

I was expecting a state of the art facility with a glass enclosed area where you could watch a snake being "milked" for it's venom. What it is was so different. First of all if you need to use the bathroom do so before coming...More
