There are few reptile collections that can compare to the diversity of animals on display at the Kentucky Reptile Zoo. Animals on exhibit range from an 18 foot reticulated python, our largest resident, to many types of venomous snakes such as cobras, mambas, cottonmouth, copperheads, taipans and rattlesnakes, to an American Alligator. One of the favorite areas for kids is our Turtle Tracks Area, where both tortoises and aquatic turtles can be seen. Live reptile shows at 1, 3 and 5pm.

I brought my fiancé here as it is somewhere he's wanted to go for a while. We traveled to this area specifically for this. We were very pleased to receive a personal tour. Beautiful snakes, well taken care of, clean. Very neat to see all of the different snakes and learn about them as well as about the zoo. Thanks... More

We took my son's family (nine grandchildren, ages 1 to 18) on a hot August day. This is not a place to come if you want to get cool (or need to use the bathroom -- no public bathrooms here, always a concern when travelling with little ones). We saw lots of venomous and non-venomous snakes. All of them were... More

Was a nice visit. Something cool to do if you're a fan of reptiles. I would have loved to be able to hold some of the non venomous snakes though. You just look at everything through the glass

I was expecting a state of the art facility with a glass enclosed area where you could watch a snake being "milked" for it's venom. What it is was so different. First of all if you need to use the bathroom do so before coming here. They have no public bathroom on site. You must load up and go back... More

We visited here spur of the moment for something to do. The snakes were of all sizes and tour guide was informative. Never been to a place like this where you walk to many different housing structures to see the different reptiles. Being from out of state this seemed strange but I guess that's how they do it in Ky.... More

The Kentucky Reptile Zoo is on the smaller side, but they have a diverse and interesting collection of reptiles. The tour guide we had was friendly and knowledgeable. I learned a lot during my tour and overall had a great time. I also got to see the live venom extraction which was neat. Along with the place and tour guide... More

For a small area, this place is loaded with reptiles of many kinds. The tour guide was excellent and had many interesting facts and stories about the animals there. Lots of them are rescues. I thoroughly enjoyed my tour and would recommend it as a stop on your list. You can tell that the people there take pride in their... More

We loved every minute we spent here. I'm an ophidiophile, so the reptile zoo was right up my alley. We were there for a couple of hours and could have stayed even longer. The facilities are dated and not super-fancy, and it's clear the place is run on a shoestring budget, but the animals are well cared for, the staff... More

This is pretty good place to stop on the way to Natural bridge. The entrance is just as you pull into the rest area. The pricing may be a little on the high side it's still not bad, you have to take into consideration what it cost to properly care for the exhibits. Plus they also take exhibits on the... More
