This distillery is gorgeous and full of history. It all started in the early 1800’s. The rickhouses are stone/brick-different from any other distillery. The buildings and pot stills are beautiful and the bourbons are delicious. If you can only do one distillery tour while in...More

No, this isn’t the start of a joke but wow was our experience at Woodford Reserve a joke. They try to make it seem as if it’s a high culture type atmosphere. It was a disorganized mess arriving. The actual room walking in was also...More

I am not a museum/tour sort of guy, but this one hour jaunt through Woodford Reserve is a real treat for anyone, even if you are not a bourbon drinker (I am not). Located between Versailles and Frankfort, the scenic distillery is in the heart...More

We didn't want to do a tour, but we did book a tasting and had a drink. The drink was delicious but it was overpriced for the amount. Our tasting guide was Jim and he was amazing. We tried two Woodford whiskies and enjoyed the...More

The actual tour was ok. Seemed a bit canned, but the Woodford history is fascinating. The best part of the tour was the way they handled the tasting. Very educational on how to taste bourbon.

One of my favorite bourbons but this pompous female tour guide was such a wet towel. I have been on numerous distillery tours and yes we all know to stay within the yellow lines and listen to her but this was ridiculous. Her sarcastic demeanor...More

The drive alone getting here was beautiful. The distillery is a really cool place and there's even a cute gift shop and coffee shop. I would definitely go back!

What a beautiful place! The drive out from Louisville was beautiful through the rolling green hills of KY horse country. The property is beautifully built and mixes the history with a modern facility. The tour was great, very educational and finished with a great tasting...More

Sorry but I didn’t count the employees. I can say that in every area of the distillery including the gift shop, restaurant and touring areas there were employees visibily doing their jobs.

We paid $10 per person for a tasting. No tour. It was easy and we paid the day we arrived.
