We were distillery tour pioneers by now. We had a group of 15 for a bachelor party weekend. I really like this bourbon and enjoyed the tour. The guide was knowledgeable and informative. He talked to us rather than at us. Put this one on your list and take Four Roses off your list.

We were lucky to get a beautiful sunny day in February for Bourbon Trail exploration. Beautiful drive through Versailles and horse country to get to the distillery. The site itself is historical and interesting, our guide was very knowledgeable. The only downside is that, because it is accessible and popular, it gets bigger crowds and tour bus traffic.

We visited with friends as part of the Bourbon Trail. It was fairly busy but we managed to get on a tour within 20 minutes. It cost around $14 per person. The tour guide was friendly and knowledgeable and made the tour interesting. He let us wander around each section, taking pictures, before moving on to the next. The area... More

The tour starts at a beautiful, low slung building that looks like it was constructed for a California vineyard. It's beautiful, but looks completely out of place in Kentucky. Not that the bourbon is bad. Woodford is the bourbon that brought me back from Tequila. The other Kentucky distilleries either harken back to Kentucky's early days (Makers Mark, Bulleit, Four... We had a great guide and it was a fun time. The distillery is in a wonderful location and the buildings are very interesting to look at. I learned a bit of history and about bourbon. Not a big serving at the tasting, but gave an appreciation for the product and process.

I am interested mostly in the history of the older distilleries, and when we pulled in, I had very high hopes for this tour. Unfortunately, our tour guide only seemed to know things that were on his script, and he was unable any questions about other buildings or history. I can understand if he was in a newer distillery where... More

Loaded with history and great bourbon, the Woodford Reserve distillery tour was really cool. Takes about an an hour but you see how they make their bourbon from start to finish. Then, of course, you get to sample 2 of their bourbons with a nice price of chocolate.

While the tour is a little more expensive than other distillery tours $18/ person free for military you can see that Woodford is rooted in history and located on a majestic campus with ample seating areas, a cafe, and gift shop. Makes a great day trip on a warm, sunny day. Meander through pastoral pastures of thorobread horses to find... More

Put this distillery on the top of your bourbon trail list! The drive to tour Woodford Reserve took us by miles and miles of brown fences, huge horse barns, beautiful homes and even a horse racing track on one of the farms. We then got to drink coffee and relax by a huge fireplace while waiting for the tour. This... More

We went as a group. The weather was perfect. The tour is over an hour but includes lots of scenery, vintage buildings, and cool processes on how to distill Bourbon. The tasting at the end was awesome! Learned a lot and had fun too. Kid friendly as well.
