Our tour guide, Rae, was great! The distillery is in the midst of beautiful horse country. The experience overall, very commercialized. A small snack/sandwich bar full of plastic and more plastic. Cocktails available for a whopping $15. Overall gift shop prices higher than other local...More

Done a ton of Scotch whisky distillery tours in Scotland. This was my first USA bourbon tour. Lovely facility, lots of history, beautifully set up for touring-bus from visitors center to distillery, well organized, labeled for clarity. Hit all the high spots. The maturing building...More

A beautiful history of learning how bourbon is made. My family and I made a reservation to tour the woodford reserve distillery in Lexington Kentucky. It was a great tour and the bourbon balls were exquisite to eat.

This distillery is gorgeous and full of history. It all started in the early 1800’s. The rickhouses are stone/brick-different from any other distillery. The buildings and pot stills are beautiful and the bourbons are delicious. If you can only do one distillery tour while in...More

I think you need to schedule 2 hours total. The your we took was a least one hour. The sampling took about 30 minutes with questions asked. Then you have the gift store!

Sorry but I didn’t count the employees. I can say that in every area of the distillery including the gift shop, restaurant and touring areas there were employees visibily doing their jobs.
