Our family of four (kids aged 8 and 10) had a fabulous kayak experience on the swamp at Beaux Bridge. Cory couldn't have been more helpful, accepting our booking at short notice, directing us to the swamp, meeting us at the launch site, and spending the time to give us some great tips on things to do and places to... This was a last minute addition to our South Louisiana staycation itinerary. We had originally planned to take an airboat ride (by the way, if you haven't ever, DO IT!), but we had all been before and really didn't want to spend $250 on an hour and a half ride. I found Bayou Teche Experience right here on Trip Advisor... More

The Bayou Teche Experience offers swamp and bayou kayaking in Lake Martin (swamp) and the Bayou Teche. I highly recommend kayaking the swamp. It is beautiful and a great way to see alligators, and Cory at Bayou Teche experience makes it so easy. I've done Kayaking here five times, every time has been great. Cory can take you and the... We had a great experience. Cory was super friendly and even gave us suggestions where we can go eat after.

We did the sunset tour on Lake Martin with Cory. The kayaks were very comfortable and the sights were spectacular under a beautiful sky. We saw birds and alligators. Cory was deeply knowledgeable about the ecology of the area and shared a wealth of information about the region.

My parents were Cajuns from Breaux Bridge born in the Ruth Area a mile and half from Lake Martin. At one time it was called 'Lake LaPointe'. I can remember visiting my Cousin Ronnie's Daddy's (Uncle Pin) camp and having good dinners with old fish and fried potatoes. Than she and I would take off in a canoe, traveling through... More

Please do yourself a favour and book with Cory. We were visiting from Canada for a wedding in the French Quarter, and came to Breaux Bridge just to try this kayaking based on Trip Advisor. An amazing experience. Saw many alligators and turtles and birds. And who knew a swamp could be so beautiful. Cory knows all of the happenings... More

We rented kayaks for three hours to explore the swamp near Breaux Bridge. It was amazing. Kayaks were delivered to the swamp, everyone given a quick 101, and we were on our way. We paddled for three hours, and regretted not bring lunch so we could paddle more. Bayou Teche was easy to work with, super friendly, and has given... More

Great location, nice canoes. A good introduction to bayou country. beaux bridge is a gem--the bayou teche is the main artery to the Eco-system. Worth a few hours, but get to the cypress swamp ASAP.

Travelled from australia to lousiana. We were booked in to do a swamp boat tour with the amazing bryan champagne swamp tours. But due to our credit cards being frozen by our australian banks upon arrival in America, we only had a small amount of cash until our banks sorted everything out. So we thought we would do a kayak... More
