We visit the Mandeville area annually to bicycle on the Tammany Trace. It is about 30 mile long "rails to trail" paved bicycle, jogging, waling trail that links Slidell-Lacombe-Fountainbleu State Park-Mandeville-Abita Springs-Covington with relatively few auto crossings. The Trace provides an excellent way to get...More

A great stop to make if you're into walking, jogging, or biking as it's located right on the Tammany Trail at Girod St. Also right up the street from several great restaurants, antique shops, and funky boutiques. Old pictures of landmarks with descriptions and dates...More

The trailhead hosts a great Saturday market. They have a water fountain play area for kids and summer concert series.

The residents and public officials have done a fantastic job in developing this area. It is fantastic for children and activities throughout the year. Restaurants are abundant in the area and the fantastic Northshore lakefront only a few blocks away.

Such a beautiful bike ride! One day we rode from Covington to Mandeville, then another day we rode from Mandeville to Slidell and back. The Mandeville trailhead offers shade and plenty of parking. We had a bike problem, so we went to The Bike Path...More

This is my seventh ride on this premier trail connecting Slidell to Mandeville to Abita Springs to Covington. Flat, wooded, some gorgeous swampland, all paved and patrolled.

This trail goes in for over 20 miles. Paved, smooth and nearly flat in either direction; at least for the portion from Mandeville and going east. Groomed along the trail edges . Well marked. Beautiful scenery. Water and woods. Squirrels, deer, cardinals and other birds....More
