Pretty building, nice finishes inside. Very majestic and especially not a church I would find in Opelousas, La. The father was very nice and seemed like a genuine guy.

A wonderful piece of history and the Catholic community. Large marble columns line the pews and wonderful stain glass windows reach for the sky in this church. Multiple masses and a connection to Notre Dame in Paris.

We went at noon at noon and sat quietly at the back. After the service, we were able to admire the timeless beauty of the inside and outside of the church. Be sure to spend time exploring the statue in front of the church and the cemetery beside.

This is a beautiful church and every since Fr. Brady came the church as a whole a really advanced to new heights. He has a very thoughtful and intellectual mass.

One of the oldest Catholic parishes in Louisiana. Beautifully maintained statues, stained glass and architecture. Adjoining cemetery rich with historic figures and interesting tombs.

Took the Ghost tour in the fall. The tour was filled with amazing facts and so much history about some of the people that are buried there. The actors that played the parts were local residents that were filled with valuable information about the tombs and the lives of the deceased. The tour ended at St. Landry Church were the... More

Great home for your spiritual needs. Parish life is growing every day and more and more young families can be seen at weekly masses.

St. Landry Catholic Church is filled with marble, stained glass and history. It was established in the late 1700's and the current building is the third on the site. I could have been a cathedral because of the grandeur. Near the church is the cemetery holding many of the families of this part of Acadiana. If you are interested in... More

I love old churches and this one did not disappoint. I was not happy we could not go inside. All of the churches we have visited we were able to admire the interior also.
