Nice plantation and fun tour

This is a pretty neat place to visit. The decor inside takes you back to the 1800s. We enjoyed our tour and it was fun to learn about the history of the Myrtles Plantation.

This place is over 300 years old and chock full of history!! We had been looking forward to coming here for a long time and The Myrtles did not disappoint! Most places we have toured are rebuilt and or replicas but The Myrtles is original and the original floors are still there. When the tour guide stated that the floors... More

Spent the night here in hopes of a ghostly encounter. While I didn't have any experiences, I was glad I stayed. The property is actually quite peaceful and the breakfast was great!

My husband and I stayed at the Myrtles for one night. We drove in from New Orleans where we had been vacationing for a few days. I have wanted to come here for years. We arrived kind of late (6:30) as we hit a lot of traffic. Staff on our arrival were very friendly. We were shown directly to our... More

One of if not thee most beautiful plantations I've ever been to! If you are anywhere near here it is a must stop! Highly recommend! Sadly the carriage house restaurant burned down a week before we came but the property is awesome!

Our second stay at The Myrtles. Sad to report the Carriage restaurant is closed due to a fire. The inn and staff are still wonderful. John Moss recommended a few restaurants for dinner. We were not disappointed. The grounds at The Myrtles are gorgeous even in late winter. We will make another visit soon.

Visited last weekend with some friends stayed in the Coco house. Very lovely plantation loved the grounds and walking around. Coco house is extremely nice. We did take the mystery tour at night although our guide was not the friendliest she did OK her name was Sarah. The plantation breakfast the next day was very good and the rest of... More

I think if you stayed at this house, it would really heighten the experience and my kids would have really liked it. I loved the stories that were told but it just felt like an average tour. It felt weird to pay 15 dollars a person and only get to go into 4 places but I know they said the... More

Lots of ghost stories woven into the history of this elegant plantation home. Enjoyed every minute and especially loved seeing the amazing chandeliers throughout the first floor. Unfortunate, but understand that touring the second floor is not possible as it is a hotel as well. I'm a non-believer, but got to say, there was a little supernatural happening that we... More

This had been on my bucket list forever. I was really excited about the tales that went with the planation. When we arrived, I honestly thought we had the wrong address. It looks nothing like a plantation. However it was still very beautiful!! For some reason the restaurant was closed with no explanation. So needless to say we had to... More
