Adorned with neon lights, the bridge that connects Shreveport and Bossier City across the Red River is considered a work of art.

It was at one time a festive bridge to see at night but Shreveport has let maintenance go. No lights or very few these day. Sad.

It was interesting how the El Dorado Casino butts right up to the edge of the road as you are entering the bridge. Nice views crossing this magnificent bridge. Probably would be better at night.

Drove over it! Not much more to say. We are from Texas so we thought we should check it out. Beautiful old bridge.

Cool old bridge from the Huey P Long era. Nice views, easy to navigate. Convenient crossing to / from Bossier City.

A decent bridge across the River between Shreveport and Bossier. It's kept up nicely and a good walking bridge too. Driving across it, there's great views of both cities.

Visited my home town again as was born there in 1951 and enjoyed seeing the changes in the city lights and atmosphere and the growth taken place in 66 years of familiar surroundings.

I've never walked across the bridge, although have thought about it several times since it links the two gambling districts with their casinos and restaurants. The bridge glows at night with neon lights, casting a colorful shadow on the river below. Plaques note that it...More
