I went there for a wedding and the natural scenery was breathtaking. We loved the water features also.

The signature event of the American Rose Center is its annual Christmas in Roseland, featuring large plywood, hand-painted Christmas card displays crafted by the art classes of area schools. Other features include thousands of Christmas lights, a train ride for the children and a Santa. At $5.00 per person or $20 per carload, this is an annual tradition which should... More

We went here in early October when there should still be roses but the place was deserted and there were less roses than I have at home on 4 rose bushes in containers. Don't bother wasting your time here.

Hello Worldtravella, we are sorry to hear you were disappointed with your visit! Unfortunately our roses had a rough summer and our fall bloom didn't really begin to come around until November. We are currently taking steps to start our renovations next year and plan to have roses and other plants that are more resilient to the heat. It's a... More

Beautiful grounds and a pleasure to take a quite walk when weather is cooler. During holidays they offer programs during the weeks prior to new year and it is family centered. Very nice.

The Rose Center is located in West Shreveport but the trip is very worthwhile. Beautiful gardens. Beautiful roses. Always fun place to visit.

We visited at Christmas time. The facilities were excellent. They had displays done by local community schools, in addition to their light displays. I felt this was a nice touch. The restrooms and gift shop were clean and easily accessible, despite this being after normal operating hours for the Center. The only thing they could have improved would be to... More

Being gardeners we went two hour out of our way on our vacation trip to visit this place and it was an absolute waste of time. We arrived in the early afternoon, almost four hours before their posted closing time. We found the place totally empty of staff, visitors or anyone. I went into the visitors center to ask about... Hi AAAAwells, We are sorry to hear you were less than satisfied with your recent visit. If you visited on the weekend, we do only have one person working on the grounds during the posted hours. As we have more than 65 acres of gardens on our 118 acre property, you may not see our grounds worker during your visit,... More

The Rose Center is Gorgeous. We go every year to see all of the Christmas Lights. The kids love it. I am not sure how it is any other time, I know people used to take pictures here but I'm not sure if they still do or not.

This was a stop on my road trip this year. I had read reviews, but they weren't correct. We went and we got there and we thought it was closed. Then I saw this sign tell you to go to the lower parking lot. We did. We saw there use to be multiple gardens. The rose plants that were there... More
