Very interesting shops and museums, and an especially good Ice Cream Shop, the Old Town Sidell Soda Shop (see review). We enjoyed a relaxing afternoon meandering through the stores. Suggest you don't do it (except for the Soda Shop) if you're in a hurry.

Pretty historic buildings, good eateries, ice cream parlor, antique shops. Plenty little gift and souvenir stores. Frequently has festivals, Heritage Park with several amenities and giant playground nearby.

Spent a morning browsing the shops in the Antique District. All the shop owners were friendly and interesting. Only bought 3 items but all were unique.

All though this is a no brainer.... the city needs to clean this area up. Every city tries to cling onto their olde towne districts as a means to relive the slow paced lifestyles of times gone by. Door to door shopping, a bed and...More

The Slidell Historic Antique District is the Northshore's best kept secret. The friendly shop keepers offer a variety of things from yesteryears.
