So....We spent money to develop a "Walking Park". Hmm. No cooking allowed. No music to be played unless the City puts on an event. No pets allowed. Just...walking. No running. No skateboards. No picnics. Just...walking. No food or beverages. Just...walking.

The Grove is so inviting for all ages. It is a perfect setting for pictures, so peaceful and tranquil. It has new walking paths and seating along the way.

The Grove is a wonderful park at Heritage Square in Sulphur, Louisiana. If you're traveling down I-10 and plan to blow past Sulphur (exit 20) on your way to Lake Charles, you'd be missing a lovely opportunity to rest from the road. Sulphur doesn't have much curb appeal. The exits are terrible looking and littered with the typical small town fastfood signs. But, if you take exit 20, head north just a couple of miles on Ruth Street you'll run right into Heritage Square and the Grove. Fountains. Oak trees. Pecan trees. Magnolias. Walking paths. Plenty of parking. Sulphur Parks & Recreation (SPAR) keeps this park in good shape! Ignore the way the exits look and take 15 or twenty minutes to stretch your legs at The Grove.

Old oaks as wide as you can stretch your arms with more character than Treebeard with Hobbits in his hair.

Quiet place to sit and read or sometimes there may be a performance on the stage and you can sit on the hill and watch the performance.

The park is beautifully lit for the holidays with horse and carriage rides. The music in the background is very nice and the Grove is very Busy with families taking pictures and little ones running about but it is not overly crowded and everyone is polite and in the Christmas spirit. The water fountains add to the scenery and there is a little library box that you can borrow books from and donate books too. Perfect place to visit while in this little town.

The Grove is a fairly new addition to the town. It is located due north of I-10 with convenient parking. There is a walking path as well as shaded areas for rest and relaxing. Bathroom are also clean and located on premises.
