Lovely afternoon with Hubby visiting the Forth bridges and Islands. Saw seals, puffins, and lots of other sea birds. I also learned quite a bit of history about the forth and about various other stuff happening on, in and around the forth areas including inventions that have made all the new bridge work possible. This cruise was the ending to... More

We went on the 90 minute cruise and found it to be beautiful and relaxing. The crew was friendly, and the scenery was so pleasant. If I had a chance to do it again, I'd do the 3 hour tour which would allow you to spend 90 minutes on Inchholm Island. It's worthwhile and a good value for money.

Great trip out on the 'Maid of the Forth'. The boat is a bit of a Tardis. Looked like it could carry 30 souls but is actually licensed for 225. Cafe and bar on board. Sailed under Rail Bridge and on to Incholme Island. If you've booked the 3 hour trip you get off here to explore and get a... More

If you want to have a lovely boat trip, this is it! We went on the 1,5h trip. Nice crew, good commentary throughout the trip, great sightseeing (including seeing seals!), clean bathrooms and the boat had hot and cold drinks and snacks on sale. Thanks for the great experience!

My friends and I had a lovely trip on the Maid. Although it was a little grey and rainy the commentary is great - not overbearing, giving you time to chill and chat, but giving you lovely snippets of information as you travel. Inchcomb island is a wedding venue so we got the treat of sharing the boat with a... More

We took a cruise on "The Maid of the Forth" to visit the Island of Inchcolm situated in the Forth Estuary North of Edinburgh. The cruise turned out to be much more than just a ferry to get to the Island. Although the commentary was pre recorded, every so often the skipper inserted "live bits" appropriate for the day. We... Thank you for your review . I am glad you were able to see the wildlife on offer in the Forth as well as the nesting birds on the island . You have described the island beautifully, Thank you very much for advising the Captain chooses to tell you more interesting facts "live" as well as spotting seals or puffins.... More

Well worth going - really friendly crew and we even saw some seals as well. The boat was great (and had a little bar selling tea and coffee and sweets!). Would recommend pre-booking tickets online. Great value for money 😊
