I had just finished the book "Pet Semetary" by Stephen King. I had something entirely pictured in my mind. It's beautiful anytime of year. Abraham Lincoln's first VP, Hannibal Hamlin is buried here and I didn't even know who that was until my visit. Just...More

Great walking paths that are safe even if walking alone. The paths are very clean and if you're a history buff, there is a lot to see. The kids love seeing the ducks and turtles and occasional hedgehog.

The gardens of this cemetery are unique-one thinks it must be like this in Eden. there are benches to sit on and reflect, ducks to feed in a pond, and walks to make one enjoy the outdoors.

Even without the Stephen King references, this is a very cool old cemetery, with a variety of landscape and architectural quirks to make it interesting. We watched King's "Pet Cemetery" and then had fun visiting the sites shown in the movie, which was a cool...More

Great place to walk or bike through and stop along the way to catch glimpses of history. I recommend looking into the cemetary online so you have some awareness of what to watch out for and who is buried here.
