Great for kids

Small aquarium with local species. Touch tank was fun. Great view of the harbor and was able to fish off the dock. Worth a visit.

The information and experiences the Aquarium packs into the space is wonderful. Best of all are the touch tanks. Where else can you touch a live shark one moment and a lobster the next.

This place is small. It dose have 2 touch tanks. People are nice and not a bad rainy day activity but i cant see spending more then an hour. Seeing the different color lobsters and the huge 14# lobster is cool.

This is acute little aquarium with nice displays, touch tanks, and helpful staff. Great place for kids to touch sea-life in two separate touch tanks. One even has little sharks - cool! It's a bit overpriced for such a small place, but makes for a nice activity while vacationing int he area. It's run by the Maine Dept of Marine... More

Every state should have a facility like this one. Located on the very picturesque shores of Boothbay Harbor it is open 10am to 5 pm every day with interesting displays of the local aquatic denizens including an albino, a blue, and a huge 15lb lobster with claws that looked like they could crack open a safe! Various large tanks allowed... More

This is a small aquarium that gives you more than your money's worth. There is a large touch tank where you can pet some of the friendliest sharks I have ever met! The staff are even more friendly than the sharks are and are very sweet and knowledgeable. There are interactive talks about topics such as lobstering and a dock... More

This is a very small aquarium which is good for small children but just doesn't offer enough. The tanks were dark and appeared to need cleaning.

We spent about 2 hours at the aquarium. It isn't very large but the touch tank is a good size and has lots of creatures. My kiddo really enjoyed that and spent most of the time there. Lots of different creatures to touch and hold. We also listened to a presentation on lobster fishing in Maine which was interesting. If... More

this is great for families w/children, lots of hands on for kids & we came at 1 pm when they were just starting a lobster talk out on the deck, the guide told us everything we need to know about lobsters & it was show & tell type, also saw lobster eat a fish in tank, good value, nice grounds
