Four of us went out in the afternoon on a beautiful warm day with Abe and Reed as our guides. We saw Osprey nests with birds in them, an osprey flying with a fish in tow and lots of baby seals peaking their heads out...More

Glenn led our afternoon "Wildlife Tour". I kayak all over and was excited for the trip. The water was calm and the surroundings were simply magnificent. You could have put your paddle down and just drifted to clear your mind. It was gorgeous. But there...More

Thanks for your feedback, Forfeitboy! The calm days at the end of summer can be some of the best for just sitting in the boats and watching the world go by. While we can predict the large-scale patterns of some of our migratory or seasonal...More

So today had 20 mph wind gust from the north which never happens and the people at Tidal were very nice about making sure we knew that. They gave us clear direction on where to go and we went out for a one hour tour...More

Eric, We're so glad to hear that the wind didn't hinder the fun! As you said, a strong north wind is rare for us to experience, but we're always focused on making our customers' kayaking experiences the best they can be regardless of the weather....More

We spent the afternoon very leisurely kayaking. We went to Ram Island back and forth. It was scenic and low key. Obviously it has nothing to do with the outfitters, but the scenery was brilliant. Our guide, Evan, was affable and upbeat. He was knowledgable...More

Great experience. Enjoyed kayaking out to burnt island lighthouse. Trip was just enough for kids (15, 12). The staff at tidal transit were great very helpful, gave some good tips on proper kayaking which I did my best to adopt.

Amazing excursion! Travis, TTK owner, added a guide so our extended family could go together. Guides Parker & Evan were wonderful and set just the right pace for our group! Harbor seals were a bonus!

I've only been in a kayak once on a peaceful lake. Are the waters rough? If we go with a guide can we go places to see wildlife or does that demand more tricky maneuvers in rougher waters? I've never been to Maine, This is our first trip, but my husband and I would like to see the sea life and birds that are there. I'm a bit wary of rough water. I'm 70 years old, look and act younger.
