As with all places outside like this, it is what it is. If you want to get out and hike, its great. Some of their properties are nicer than others in terms of what you see, condition of the trails, etc. We send in $$ each year to support their efforts

Boothbay harbor is a hidden gem. The town has several amazing restaurants, shops, a good nightlife scene, incredible seafood, and is very easy to walk around. Outside the downtown there are some great spots for hiking, viewing the sunset or sunrise, climbing on the rocks, and there's a couple small beaches nearby. Unlike Camden or kennebunkport, it's far more affordable... More

There are accessible hiking trails all over this area. Ask your innkeeper for a map of the BRLT to choose the best level of hiking for you. Just a beautiful area.

Imagine a 1000 shades of green from the deepest shadowed moss to sun-dappled leaves high overhead. I'm inspired to write about the BRLT trails because I just got back from discovering another one - this one within walking distance of my summer home - after over a dozen years of hiking in the Boothbay region. The most recently discovered trail... More

The hiking trails were fairly easy. We walk down by the ocean on ocean point. This area is very beautiful . It was a lot fun to watch all the artist painting on the roadside,

We hiked one of the trails near Ocean Point. It was wooded and took us by a neat pond with ducks and lily pads. It was a nice easy hike. Very enjoyable. We were the only ones there.

We spent the better part of a couple of days exploring various locations of the Land Trust and thoroughly enjoyed being outdoors there. An excellent way to wind down while outdoors.

There are many (at least 25) properties spread out over the Boothbay region. They consist of trails which are rated Easy, Moderate, and Challenging. Most are dog friendly, and we were able to take our dog off-leash for at least part of trails. There are scenic vistas and many water views included.

We did the Oven's Mouth East Trail and West Trail. Both offer nice views of the river and the walking is very easy. The West Trail has more hills but nothing difficult. There are BRLT trails all over the area.

We did a nice short hike, a little over a mile, on the Gregory trail. There are fabulous river views along the way. No facilities but that's OK with a short hike. Not far from the botanical gardens which are also worth a trip.
