This place was recommended by my neighbor. If she hadn't told us about it, we never would have known it was there. We were so gad she did. It is an outdoor museum with dirt road trails with separate buildings with different purposes. Go at your leisure. There is a small pond and stream with fish dams. On the property... More

Went on day no activity except volunteer at office. Pros: many old buildings showing how mill worked Great potential for improving visitor experience Cons: Poor directions to museum Poorly maintained gravel road Primitive bathrooms...take hand wipes Extensive walking

I had driven by this museum on a number of occasions, and finally decided to check it out a few years ago for one of the "Living History" days. This is the 3rd year in a row we go to Logging History Days. It's not just about the mill. Hands on learning, from bisquits on open fire, making own cider, spun angora, blacksmithing, to trails, horse drawn wagon rides etc. Beautiful time of year.
