Really enjoyed exploring this unique waterside sanctuary. Walked to the ruins and wondered about their history. Ended up waterside and had a great view of Holbrook Island, Penobscot bay, and the Town of Castine. Very peaceful and serene experience.

This is a small 1000 acre park. That said, it has plenty of variety. Hike a very small "mountain" or go around the Aaron Pond. Each takes only about an hour or two.

It is a lovely place for a walk in the woods to pass fragrant spruce and vibrant soft patches of moss.

A hidden gem of a park - beautiful trails to explore on Cape Rosier and on the actual island if you have transportation. Lots of great trails - and very little traffic

Beautiful trails. Great little beach with picnic tables. Very well kept up. Remote, peaceful and a nice place to visit if you are close by.
