I am retired military. When looking at local colleges/universities to utilize my GI Bill, I investigated Bowdoin College. It is a beautiful campus with a rich and proud history. I SERIOUSLY considered attending the college because of its history and reputation as a top-shelf college. Education is NOT a priority at Bowdoin College. Purity of Political thought reigns. Sadly, Bowdoin... More

Interesting buildings. Friendly students. Plenty of places to walk. Beautiful art museum on campus. Campus is near the center of town; plenty of parking in town or on campus.

We had occasion to visit our grandson son who is attending Bowdoin. The campus is beautiful and the architecture of many of the older buildings is great to study. We enjoyed a program of music by the "Meddies" a great men's a cappella singing group. Dinner at one of the on campus dining halls was a delight and the food... More

I taught at Bowdoin almost thirty years ago. The place has some newer buildings, but the feel of the campus has not changed at all. A fine collection of buildings built for purpose, not to make for uniformity in design.

My wife and I recently stopped in Brunswick, Maine for the night and visited Bowdoin college the next morning. It's a beautiful campus just to walk around and they offer 2 excellent museum's. One is the museum of art, which is free and well worth a visit. The other is the Peary-Macmillan Arctic museum (donations) which is very interesting and... More

While staying nearby we had some extra time and decided to check out Bowdoin College to see the Commander Perry's Exhibit and their museum. If your looking to do something that doesn't take the whole day I recommend both of these sites. There's no charge for either of these exhibit.

Bowdoin College and their museum is a great place to visit while in the area. The campus is small and flat, making getting around on foot very easy. Highly recommended!
