This was our first sail on the Appledore and it was GREAT! The wind was off and on, but it was a beautiful day! The crew, Captain Chris and Jan and Aurora were just great! Friendly and made a point to talk with everyone and answer questions! The Dark and Stormy drinks were tasty and not skimping on the rum!... More

We always plan one sail each year when we come to Maine. We keep going back to the Appledore because it is so enjoyable and relaxing. Captain Jeff, Laird and Aurora were all very professional and friendly to all. This trip we enjoyed one of their Bloody Mary's!

Nice, clean and comfortable boat with a crew that worked hard and kept us all entertained, informed and at home. Great serene and peaceful sail for 2 hours

My parents and I visit Camden (from NH), at least once every summer, a ride on the Appledore is always a must do. The crew is always great, usually personable and entertaining. This last time we sailed with Captain Chris. He did a great job, even shared a favorite poem of his towards the end of the sail. He was... More

Sailed around Penobscot Bay on a wind-less, sunny afternoon. Did not matter we still had a lovely cruise on a classic Schooner. Crew was great. Excellent Bloody Mary! Captain is 'thoughtful' and super passionate about the Appledore and a sailing native. Extremely knowledgeable about his boat (girl) and craft in general. There are several Schooners to choose, but take this... More

This windjammer was a delight to go on a two hour day sail. Pleasant crew and you are able to purchase, water, beer, soda and drinks while sailing through the beautiful, breathtaking waters of Camden Harbor and further. They also have a sunset trip where they serve snacks in addition to the above items. It is relaxing and you get... More

What a great time we had. All the kids helped hoist the sales. Later the captain let them take the helm. Peaceful sail. My husband and I went 19 years ago on our honeymoon and returned with the kids. It did not disappoint.

The schooner sails out of Camden Harbour. It's a nice small harbour and the ship is right at the dock. The crew, Captain Chris, mates Jan and Aurora are all fantastic. They do what ever they can to make your trip an enjoyable one. It's a great two hour cruise into the harbour , sailing by the islands and a... More

We sailed today on the beautiful schooner Appledore and had a fantastic time. It was blowing 20-25 kts and this boat just laughed at those winds. The crew (Jeff, Laird and Jan) was professional, personable and lots of fun. If you are in Camden, I highly recommend taking this 2 hour trip. You won't regret it!

The ship is beautiful and our afternoon cruise was relaxing and scenic, although we didn't get much beyond the bay, which I had hoped to do. I have to mention that the hard sell for tips was a sour note. We were told that the crew worked for tips, so your $45 ticket basically just got you on board the... More

At the end of each cruise the captain makes a brief and tasteful mention on behalf the crew. We take great pride in the exceptional service our staff provides. Gratuities are completely optional. More
