We spent part of an afternoon visiting this interesting Maine winery. Kathe was most welcoming and helpful in presenting their various fruits wines. My favorite is the Coastal White, but the semi sweet blueberry is a close second!
The winery was an interesting place to visit walking through Maine woodlands to access the tasting room. Good local wine. All pear, Apple, and good selection of Maine blueberry wines. My only complaint....the server couldn't have been more rude. She told us the minute we...More
The wine is what you would expect - terrible. The rum is not aged, a bit harsh but tastes like rum. It is something to do. Everyone has their own taste in wine and if you prefer Cakebread Chardonay you will be dissapointed.
Kathy was phenomenal and spent a lot of time with us. She is knowledgable and authentic both as it relates to wine and to the local area. The variety of wines was wonderful. Very pleased we were able to find time to visit the winery.

Really different wines... mostly blueberry and pear. Kathe Bartlett served and chatted... very entertaining with tales of wine making, fruit inspections and the history of the winery. The place can be a little difficult to find but don't give up; it's worth a visit.
