I'm sure the Bush compound is amazing, but, to preserve their well deserved privacy, the secret service prevents tourists from getting close. An observation point from a pull off on Ocean Avenue across the bay is about as good as it gets.

Had the opportunity to spend the weekend overlooking the point. Very beautiful a walk along the ocean Was beautiful We had a day of warm sunny weather and a morning of heavy rain and wind. Both were great to watch the ocean. Only thing that could have been better would have been an invite to have lunch at Walkers Point... More

Nice little stop on a scenic trip to Maine. Not a lot of parking but easy to find a space if there is not much traffic. We did a little research before hand and were excited to see all three flags up to know that there was someone actually staying in the house at the time. We came in the... More

What a cool experience to see a Presidential Compound so up close and personal. It was great that we could see it well, take photos, etc.

We visited in October, and the leaves still had some color so a pretty drive up Ocean Ave. to the point. We were in a bus, and just did a drive-by of the President George H.W. Bush family compound. George H.W. and Barbara, spend time at Walker's Point from Memorial Day through Columbus Day. According to our guide, they both... More

Beautiful view of the sea and waves pounding the rocks. Everyone takes pics of the Bush compound from this vantage point. Fun. There was misty rain the day we were there, and this gave the ocean mystique - wonderful in any kind of weather.

We walked here along a level sidewalk from the inn we visited closer to the center of town. Being it was late October, there was little car of foot traffic but still a few people out taking pictures. I had the chance to have a quick chat with a gentleman from Ireland about the impending 2016 presidential election and we... More

Seeing this was just plain fun. Even more fun was when my WIFI notified me that there was a secret service connection in the area!! Needless to say, I did not pursue it.

This is a good place for people who take pictures. A lot of interesting local color. The water was so pretty and leaves turning.
