I drive by the Wedding Cake house all the time while visiting beautiful Kennebunk. This house is in dire need of new paint and will need a lot of work on the trim which is literally falling off and rotting due to lack of regular...More

We have seen pictures of the "Wedding Cake House" but they don't do the place justice. It is as interesting as it is unusual.

Drove past as part of the New England coast tour. The story was sad as is the fact that private ownership has neglected what was once a beautiful home. Too bad it’s not being restored. Glad though we saw it.

The workmanship is breathtaking and at one time this was a beautiful house. Sadly it has fallen on hard times and needs some TLC. I am sure it is kept on the tour route because of the backstory and legend.

There are so many gorgeous homes in Kennebunkport, but this one is in such a state of disrepair. It may have been wonderful at one time, but I must be honest - it is not worth driving to see.

When you leave the town of Kennebunk from Rt. 1 following signs to Kennebunkport, you will drive right by the house. It's not open for public touring, but is one of the most photographed houses in the area. A great attention to architectural detail.
