Just got home from a weekend trip to the Stratton Brook Hut!!! Our group of 18 Veterans (from VAST (Veteran's Adaptive Sports and Training)). I can't thank the staff at the hut, Hannah (2), Dawn, Annie and Christie enough as they treated our Veterans to amazing hospitality, accommodations and meals. The lodging provided superior views, hot showers, beer and wine... More

Hike to a hut and have a delicious lunch if you time it right! Soups, and specials daily, beverages, and dessert during a hike in the woods. Perfect!

Thanks for your feedback, Anna! Lunch at a hut makes a perfect day trip, and all the huts serve lunch during full-service season Saturdays & Sundays from 11:30-1:30. Hope you'll stop by again soon! Kate More

We absolutely loved the full experience of staying with Maine Huts & Trails for New Year's Eve. We had a group of four adults, rented snowshoes from the Sugarloaf Outdoor Center, and snowshoed from the Airport Trailhead to Stratton Brook the first day, then to Poplar the second day, and back to Airport on our third day. Restaurant quality food... More

Thanks for your review. It sounds like you took on a great adventure- that's a lot of miles by foot. You definitely hit one of the biggest snowstorms we've had in years! We'll pass on your compliments to the hut crew; they love what they do, and it's always nice to have their work appreciated. Thanks for supporting Maine Huts... More

My husband, son and I spent New Year's weekend at the huts, our first time visit. A storm had just dumped two feet of snow, but temps were mild (considering the area and time of year) and we were able to ski into the hut (I would recommend snowshoes if conditions were icy). The folks at the hut were super... More

We had an amazing time at Stratton Brook Hut. With Snowshoes on we blazed up the Knoll Wood trail and spent 1.5 days at the hut, relaxing and doing an extra 7 mile /6 hour hike on other trails in the vicinity of the hut. The weather was cold but the hut was warm and inviting. Great local home made... More

Our group of 4 adults and 5 kids have a wonderful trip to the Stratton Brook Hut over Veterans' Day weekend. We packed in our food as is customary during "caretaker season". The spacious kitchen was heavily used by the multiple parties staying, though it was never too busy. It seemed that people who choose this type of place to... More
