I was expecting something like the Jersey Shore the way people spoke about it. Nope. It is very small and congested. Nothing like the huge (comparatively) boardwalks in Ocean or Atlantic City(s) NJ.

I cannot begin to describe how tacky and gross this pier is. It is such a shame as it could be wonderful, but it is dotted with tacky shops, a pay bathroom (and the guy manning the door will go without mention) and a horrible...More

Not much here interested us. About the same as playland. The shops in town are better. One visit should do it.

The pier is a great place to look at the beach and check out little shops. Shops are a bit pricey. Also a great place to take photos! It a must to go to at the beach!

The Pier is pretty fun, but I think they need to ditch Joeyoke and start doing more of the foam parties again up at the top of the bar.

This is not a boardwalk, it's a pier. Basically a shopping mall extending out over the ocean-- a rather cheap, dirty shopping mall. We parked nearby at a pay meter, paid for 2 hours and stayed for 15 minutes before deciding not to waste any...More

Mixed thoughts on the pier. A handful of restos serving up typical resort area foods and treats, t shirt shop, candy store etc. There's a bar and resto on the end. I walked away feeling a bit icky. I'm not OCD, but it just seemed...More

The pier itself needs to be revamped. I have been going to OOB for over 40 years as a little girl and now as a grown adult with family of my own. This is mostly a bar now, just one long bar for the 30...More

I don't know. Does it have your photo and DOB? If it's been an issue elsewhere I would not "push my luck". Better yet... call them on your cell phone.

End of August is a wonderful time to visit. After Labor Day, the amusement park has limited hours. Most eateries are open until after Columbus Day.

There are many places to park on the street that turn over quickly and there are many parking lots priced only $5 or $10 for the day close to the beach. I lived in OOB for 13 years and I never paid to park.
