Worth the extra drive from Portland. It's such a unique place with a gorgeous beach and cool rocks to explore during low time. Great views can be seen from those rocks and make for a fun day trip.

Wonderful off the beaten path on the coast of Maine. You can walk a great distance while enjoying the view, the ocean, and the smell of salt air

Off the beaten path. One of the best beaches in Maine. I walked for miles in this deserted paradise. Breathe taking views. Don’t forget your camera. An experience not to be missed. One of the best things to do in Maine.

I'm not sure of the leash law itself. But I saw a dog off leash when I was there. If your dog is well behaved I don't think there would be an issue. I kept my dog on a leash because she was a foster dog for a rescue. No one... More

Yes there are picnic tables that overlook the beach. When you enter state park they are located to the left. After short walk past dressing area towards the beach.
