This September, my wife took our young kids (2 five year olds) on a kayak tour with Cody. He was very helpful and informative- they loved the experience. In addition, Cody let us borrow (no charge) some kids' life vests for a separate trip later that week- very generous. We look forward to taking another tour with him next summer.... More

If you want to experience the beauty of Maine from the water, don't miss a boat or kayak trip. Of the companies we've encountered, our experience with Port Clyde Kayaks was one of the best. We signed up for a half-day excursion, led by the personable and very experienced owner, Cody. It was wonderful! Wildlife sightings included seals, porpoises and... More

Recently got to do an afternoon kayak tour with Cody. We had perfect weather which made things easy. The gear is in great shape and I loved the boat he selected for me. Good performance, fit, and I wanted to take it home! We saw several eagles, seals, various sea birds, and more. He knows the area very well so... More

We love to kayak but sea kayaking can be intimidating esp on the coast of Maine. So we wanted a guide and Cody was terrific. We were the only ones on this Sunday sunset sea kayaking tour of the harbor at Port Clyde. Proprietor Cody has terrific lightweight but very stable kayaks with very responsive rudders that make the kayak... More

My family enjoyed the experience very much. Although my daughter and I had to stop earlier, we all had a great time. My wife was very happy, saw porpoises andmore wild life. John and Cody were excellent guides and much thanks to John for helping my daughter navigate her first kayak trip. Both guys were understanding and full of knowledge.... More

My husband and I booked a morning group kayak. When we showed up we were the only folks who had signed up - so essentially we got a private tour. The owner/guide Cody is a well travelled, very knowledgable guide with a great love of the area. I loved learning about all the history of the differents islands, the homes,... More

My sons and I were looking for something to do on our last day in Port Clyde. We stopped by the Port Clyde Kayaks and they were so friendly! We had seen the kayaks during the week and decided to book the 2pm tour with Cody. He was a wonderful guide and taught us how to hold the paddle correctly--something... More

We had an enjoyable tour of the nearby islands lasting about three hours. There's a lot of paddling involved. Probably several miles at all. The equipment is good. A snack is provided. We saw an eagle nest, an osprey nest and some porpoise. It is appropriate for people who are in pretty good shape; probably not for people who aren't.

We were so fortunate to be in Pt. Clyde during the full moon. This tour was by far the highlight of our trip. We not only saw the moon rise, but also experienced one of the most spectacular sunsets we've ever seen. On top of that, we saw bald eagles, including one who managed to hunt/capture a seagull all while... More

Great time! Would highly recommend!! The staff is friendly and the gear is in good shape. Some of us rode in tandem kayaks for added stability. Cody was our guide and was awesome at telling stories and helping keep our group safe. There are tons of things to see and Cody makes sure to read the crowd and take them... More
