I love to visit the local museum when I'm in a city for the first time. This museum was extremely clean and had a beautiful collection of art. If you enjoy museums/art/photography then this is for you. It is free on Friday nights from 5PM-close.

Not for children. We brought an 8 year old that was followed around by museum staff. We also had a teenager who appreciated it.

Portland is a very artsy town and so much to do for everyone. We only wish we had had more time to see everything at the museum but that is impossible.

We were heading home on Sunday and decided to stop by and see what this Museum had in store for us. It had recently gone through a renovation and so it was going to be a treat to see what had changed. We would suggest...More

You easily forget after living in DC for over 30 years that museums are usually not free and in the case of PMA, at $15 a pop, is seems a bit over zealous...but understandably not every town can have the backup of the generous Smithsonian...More
