Ship traffic here runs the gamut from lobster boats to oil tankers and cruise lines; also look for the many photogenic lighthouses.

Take a tour around the bay- see the lighthouse and the many unique birds of the region. We took the trolley and boat tor combo- good deal- worth the price!

Beautiful views all along the Bay. Seabirds everywhere, great vistas and even better sunsets. Make sure you check out the Bay when you're in Portland.

tranquil and serene majestic views. there were not many visitors, so this was a perfect place for me - it gives you the opportunity to breathe that wonderful Maine air...in peace.

This is an excellent spot in Portland! Beautiful view, and some good history in this area. Definitely worth spending some time at - this is a great place to see the sunset/sunrise.

Lots of fun and quite different than the usual Old Port experience. The line for drinks is a bit much but you can order two and I'd advise that!

This is a place where real people WORK - fishing, lobstering, shipping, retail and food services, both wholesale and retail. It is an odd blend of attractive and gritty.

Our first opportunity to explore Portland was when my grandson went to college there. What a beautiful, relaxed area. The scenery is outstanding. Bring your camera.

What is the best cruise, boat ride (day trip) to take and do they run the last week of March. Also, what kind of weather can we expect on average the last week of March?

if you're interested in Maritime history, Portland Harbor Museum is a small charming spot to visit. Check out Schooner Fare's Portland Town on youtube for local music.
