Pretty Scenic views of the Portland Port.

While on a trolley tour we crossed the Casco Bay Bridge twice and had wonderful views of the Portland Port area and of our Carnival Sunshine Ship in Port.

The Casco Bay bridge is more of a utilitarian bridge than a scenic landmark. It connects Portland with South Portland and from there to Cape Elizabeth. IF you are driving on the bridge you will not have much opportunity to check out the sites, but if you are a passenger you can get a good bay/ocean view. If you are... More

South Portland is a lively and personable place. Lots of small restaurants, shops, parks, several lighthouses and lots more. It is less touristy and full of nice people who will be happy to see you.

It was a beautiful view off the bridge as we rode over. It's a draw bridge, but luckily it didn't need to go up either time we went across it.

Everyone should take the time to go. The view is nothing short of beautiful. Being at that level puts you at an advantage to see an amazing view

Crossed the bridge a couple of times and the harbor view is very nice. Have not had the chance to see it open.

We were looking to get off Commercial Street to find our way back to Spring Street, but just like in other urban environments we were hampered by one way streets as we headed further and further away from my objective. We ended up on a one way entrance to the bridge, which took us to South Portland. The bridge is... More

Not sure why this bridge might be considered a must see sight. I've driven across it and it has nice views but not one of the more remarkable that I've driven over.

The bridge linking Portland with South Portland has four lanes of traffic and offers a great view of Portland Harbor. At times, the traffic will have to wait for the drawbridge to life and allow barges and other ships to pass through.

A Very long Drawbridge connecting Broadway and Commercial Street that is rarely open. Driving over the bridge offers nice views of the harbor but the best views of the bridge itself can only be seen from out in Portland Harbor on a boat.
