With a waaaay better than average view. Only bad thing is when the draw bridge is up and you’re in a hurry.

I use this bridge almost daily and even when a boat is passing through it usually takes no longer than 30minutes. Other than that it's a great bridge to take a picture of the waterfront of Portland from. Not a tourist attraction but a photographer...More

Not really sure why this has a profile on Trip Advisor. It's a fine bridge that crosses the port. It's a draw bridge for large ships to pass, but we didn't get the see it up. It isn't especially pretty or anything.

We used this bridge several times during our stay, and were surprised one day to see that it is an opening bridge to allow boat traffic through.

We crossed the bridge twice but honestly didn't see anything special. Nice, reasonably efficient but the harbor had a typical bad smell.

We took the Casco Bay Bridge over to Cape Elizabeth to see a few lighthouses. Cape Elizabeth is a gorgeous town! The houses were so beautiful!

Combine a fear of drowning & a fear of heights and you have the perfect combination here. But it's worth it! The Casco Bay entrance roads from Portland are a beautiful way to check out the waterbirds on the beaches of the bay. Beautiful. And...More

The Casco Bay bridge is more of a utilitarian bridge than a scenic landmark. It connects Portland with South Portland and from there to Cape Elizabeth. IF you are driving on the bridge you will not have much opportunity to check out the sites, but...More

South Portland is a lively and personable place. Lots of small restaurants, shops, parks, several lighthouses and lots more. It is less touristy and full of nice people who will be happy to see you.

It was a beautiful view off the bridge as we rode over. It's a draw bridge, but luckily it didn't need to go up either time we went across it.
