2014 & 2015 BEST BOAT CRUISE in the entire State of Maine...as voted by...

2014 & 2015 BEST BOAT CRUISE in the entire State of Maine...as voted by Down East Magazine!!

Offering Scenic Lake Cruises, Private Charters, Sunset & Foliage Cruises, Mothership Kayak Excursions and Guided Kayak Trips on Maine's Rangeley Lakes. Two unique vessels, our 1947 restored wood launch the Oquossoc Lady and our 30' pontoon boat, the Gray Ghost.

Now in our 8th season, we have become the premier summer activity in Rangeley. The Oquossoc Lady returns you to the time when small private steamers sailed the lake. At 28', she seats 10 passengers. The Gray Ghost, at 30', is the largest commercial vessel in the region and provides safe and comfortable transport to our remote guided paddling destinations on the Rangeley Lakes. All cruises and paddle trips include a historic overview of the Region as well as wildilfe viewing. Loons, Bald Eagles, Ospreys, maybe even a Moose.

Owner is a licensed Registered Maine Guide and Boat Captain as well as a Director with the Rangeley Historical Society.

If you find yourself in the Rangely Lakes region a trip with Kevin on the Oquossoc lady is a must! We stumbled across this little gem whilst driving through Maine. Kevin was the perfect "captain". Kevin was extremely welcoming and knowledgeable. We learnt all about the Oquossoc lady and her history, the local wildlife of the area(lots of loons) and... More

Spent the afternoon with our lovely, rather picky daughters. We arent always sure what to do with them as they have quite different tastes from wach other. The entire family truly enjoyed Kevin and the time that he took to explain what we were seeing period history about the homes and the lakes and the region were well explained. The... More

Took an afternoon Lake cruise and the captain of the boat was very informative of the history of the lake. Beautiful houses and views of the back drop of the mountains. The camps on the islands are very cool to see.

I was in Rangeley looking for something fun for girls weekend and this was a hit! This is a great excursion for adults of all ages. Kevin was very knowledgeable on the lakes region and the history of Rangeley. We felt very welcomed by Doreen right from the beginning. We brought blankets due to weather and was surprised they supplied... More

We really enjoyed our excursion on the lake with Keith, the owner, as our guide. The boat is a really cool former mail delivery boat such as seen in "On Golden Pond." It only accommodates 12, and on this occasion, there were only seven passengers, and we were glad for that as the boat is fairly small. Keith gave us... More

Wonderful lake tour including 2 families of loons. The weather was gorgeous and Kevin is extremely friendly and full of information. A day later we took a guided kayak tour on the Cupsuptic river --another gorgeous day and highlight of our week. And Kevin took lots of photos of us kayaking and emailed them to us. Very impressive customer service.

My husband and I travel by motorcycle from PA and love coming to Maine, especially this region. The riding is absolutely beautiful ...but this time we wanted to try a cruise on the lake instead. So glad we did!! Our captain Kevin was so informative, interesting and very personable. The view from the Oquossoc Lady ( a great restored mail... More

First on the beautiful sunset cruise on Rangeley, then two days later cruising through the waters of upper and lower Richardson, Kevin told us all about the loons and bald eagles which he expertly found, as well as the history of the settlements, the people, the camps, and the water control dams in the area. Kevin also arranged for an... More

We have done several different cruises w/ Kevin - two different ones on Rangeley Lake and one day-long trip thru the Heritage Trust on Umbagog, etc.- and they are always great. Both boats are comfortable; and Kevin's broad knowledge of the area, its features and history, etc., is outstanding and entertainingly presented. He is also great w/ kids! We always... More
