Provides parking and a small area with picnic tables. The parking area is a short walk (maybe 5 minutes) to the beach which is really why you want to visit the state park. Here, the white beach sand leads you down a knoll to the ocean. You can walk all the way to Old Orchard Beach from this spot. Breathtaking!... More

First time for me at the park, even though its quite close to my home. Enjoyed the trails and the beach area. Clean, well kept.

This is a state park with NO place to purchase food or drinks so make sure you pack a cooler! There is a fee to enter the park as well. There is no showers, just a changing area.

Who can go wrong by visiting a beach. This beach is so soothing and great for all to hang out on.The lull of the waves is so inviting. Walking or jogging the beach is a must to do. Few shells but they are there.

Ferry Beach is great for swimming, it's close to Portland, not overly crowded like OOB or Higgins. Great scenery, very relaxing.

Ferry Beach state park is a very underused gem in Saco. We enjoy the diversity - a wooded area with trails that are very well maintained, an open wooded area with charcoal grills and tables for picnics and a sandy beach on the ocean!! All for $5 per person !!! It's the best state park I've been to by far.

This is a great state park. It was very quaint. I loved that they had a little wildlife education building that has animal skins, ocean life, bugs to look at under a microscope. It's a smaller beach, the water seemed warmer than Reid state parks. It was great for our young sons.
