The beach is broad and wide, allowing for great walks at sunrise. Surfers skim the water and there are ample places to people watch, enjoy the water, watch birds, and relax.

when area surf is good, Higgins can be a great spot. Other surfers friendly and the beach is patrolled which translates to a family friendly place. Blackout period on surfing from 11am until 5pm for family use.

It was a pleasure - repeated 4th time - to spend another week at Scarborough with a morning stroll at Bayview Avenue running along Higgins beach. Very well maintained, you can have your choice of activity - walking in the shallow water, daring deeper, playing...More

We stayed at the Higgins Beach Inn just 2 blocks from the ocean. Nice place to stay, great breakfasts and dinners as well. Loved the staff there.

Higgins Beach is a gem, gorgeous white sand, clean water, stretches on forever. If you wait for low tide you can walk out to an old shipwreck and pick up beautiful shells. It's perfect.

Clean, beautiful beach. Spent a week vacationing here with our family and really enjoyed all that this area has to offer.

This is a great place. There can be a lot of dogs pooping and many owners not picking up the poo. It does depend on the time of day. Get there really early and the beach is all yours!

No parking, not even street parking. I would look for a state beach unless you rent one of the vacations houses
