Lived in Maine many years. Never knew about this place. Found it by accident. Beautiful and serene. Walked out of the to the breakers. Don't wear flip-flops! Watched the CAT sail by. No bathrooms; just portapotties. Wished I had brought a bike! Will come again!

Had a great walk on the quay to/ from the lighthouse, where the boulders are large and a bit uneven. The lighthouse is in good repair, and makes an excellent subject for pictures. Great views of harbor, from this location. Visit in the morning or...More

We loved finding our way out to the lighthouse and back by walking on the huge granite boulders. The view was wonderful.

If your lucky you get a couple big sail boats sailing by as you take your pictures. There is a great coast line, The skyline of Portland and there was a cruise ship at dock when we were there.

There are like 4 parking spaces for this lighthouse. In every other spot, there are " tow away" signs. It's almost like they don't want visitors.

Spring Point Lighthouse is an interesting find. It's tucked behind a community college, so you'll have to park a short walk away, but it's a nice seaside walk. We're glad our daughter took us to see it. Just so you can prepare, the walk on...More

My wife and I visited three of the lighthouses in the Portland area. All three of the area lighthouses (including Portland Head Light in Fort Williams Park and Portland Breakhouse in Bug Light Park) are attractive and great for photography. All three are also surrounded...More
