Short Hike with Stunning Views

This trail is an easy hour, and if you go clockwise in a loop, starting at Beech Cliffs, it’s not too hard (going counter-clockwise, from the Beech parking lot would mean a lot of up hill scrambling over boulders and rooty paths). Note that older maps have the trail wrong, indicating a figure 8 loop that’s not there, but when in... More

I really like this hike -- not too easy, not too hard. It's a good view and great spot for lunch, if you bring it with you.

Beech Cliff Loop and Beech Cliff Trail are two very different hikes that share some of the same fabulous views. The Loop is much easier -- some climbing over large rocks, but doable by almost anyone. Kids might need a boost here and there and the views are unprotected so great care is needed with youngsters. The Trail is a... More

Beautiful views without a lot of effort, however walking near the cliffs for a short distance. Requires pass for Acadia National Park since it is located in the park.

This starts off with a 'walk' through the woods and ends up with wonderful views of Echo Lake and parts of Some's Sound. You can take a short loop or also do Canada Cliffs which will still take you back to the same parking lot. An easy hike for a family.

Accessed from Beech Cliffs road off Pretty Marsh road this is an easy hike from the parking lot. The trail is a graveled trail most of the way through the woods to the summit about .5 miles from the parking lot. Once at the top you have open views of Echo Lake below you and out to the right views... More

A nice walk with a really beautiful view. The walk is not difficult although much of it is uphill. The final climb to the top of the rocks can be slightly difficult for some people.

An easy hike starting from the west side. The loop trail provides great overlooks of the pond and the beach. We took the Canada Ridge trail back to the parking lot that was an easy descent.

Reviewed by a middle aged, overweight flatlander. This was the last day we had in Acadia & we had saved the hikes we sort of wanted to do for last. Beech Cliffs was pretty easy to find. We took 102 from our campground & turned right when the signs told us to (after the Town of Somesville). Turn left at... More
