Nice firm sand beach for walking. We've spent a lot of time here over the years and it's like visiting an old friend when we just returned after 11nyears!

Just what the family needed. Quiet beach not overcrowded. Will need to pack a cooler for lunch / snacks. Water cool but refreshing. Enjoyed some down time, loved the scenery, and lobster from local market after the beach

One of the cleanest beach i've been on. We stayed at Thousand Trails in Wells main. So we got to visit a lot of clean beaches.

Visited in late October. Happened to have a warm, sunny few days. Hardly anybody on the beach. It's long and very walkable when the tide is lower. High tide can be challenging in spots. Enough things were open so we could find places to eat...More

We stopped to visit the beach on the way home from Kennebunk, it was a beautiful fall morning and the beach was as beautiful as ever. Very clean.

We stopped here after visiting Ogunquit, and found it to be a beautiful beach with a few very nice shops. Great opportunity for ocean pictures. Plenty of bench seating if walking on the beach just isn't your thing.

Visited off season, but the weather was great, the beach was quiet, and very clean. Long stretches of beach to walk.

My husband and I walked this uncrowded beach in September collecting a few shells and some tumbled rocks. I don't know that I would want to visit this beach in the heat of summer as I suspect it would get terribly crowded. Because we were...More

This beach is great for walking along the ocean. Long and clean. If you like, you can walk on the rocks breakwater.

I don't know what the official rules there are regarding smoking. I have seen a few people smoking there, including the lifeguards.

There is a municipal parking lot (fee) off of Island Beach Rd. Follow walking path to jetty/beach area.
