Great stop...fun to see the huge globe, really helps you visualize how little land there really is. Kids and adults alike enjoy this feature. The store is also fun to wander through, very good selection of books, maps (duh), and educational toys and items. Don't drive by without stopping in!

You don't have to be a map or orienteering person to enjoy this store. One of the most interesting places to shop for kids and curious adults. We visit every time we are in New England.

The amp and gift store at Eartha (DeLorme) was a very nice place to pick up a souvenir from a visit to Eartha. Reasonable prices, discount for multiple items (special offered at the time of my visit) and the gifts and variety were extensive and not cheesy. If you stop to visit Earthe, check out the shop!

DeLorme was purchased by Garmen and the very fine map store has closed. However, Eartha the giant globe is still open for public viewing. For those looking for the DeLorme Atlas I believe they can be purchased online.

Fun little unplanned side trip for us! Interesting little history and you can also see (aside from the largest rotating globe in the world, called Eartha, a display case full of geocache badges from all over the US and abroad! Kinda neat since our elementary aged children are brand new into geocaching (we are not Pokemon go folks as we... More

Before a recent trip to Maine, the Internet said there is no longer a DeLorme store there. Sure enough, when we drove by, the sign said Garmin. Apparently you can still go in and see the giant revolving globe, but that's it. It is easy off - easy on the highway so if you really want to see it, take... More

Was very cool as people said. And was open for the public to go in and view. I am not sure what else you used to be able to do but you cna go in the room it's in and go up to the balconies to see the globe.

Really wished I had read the other postings before we arrived in the parking lot :( They allowed us to take a quick peek at the globe and then we bailed.

The company was bought out by the parent of Garmin to gain DeLorme satellite phone system. They will keep the huge World Globe open for a while but the store closed last week!

This is a small, but packed-with-stuff place ! Great for kids to explore, and the chance to see "Eartha" move is awesome. Staff is so helpful, and you won't leave this place without finding something to take home---not just about maps here. Great selection of celestial inventory, books, toys, and more for the inquisitive mind.
