Well--it was hard to rate this since it was closed for renovations this summer, but since we were here, we at least walked the grounds. Historic property along the York River, the house dates from the 1700s but is restored to what it was like...More

Interesting historic house in York village. Bought & added to by Elizabeth Perkins. All furnishings exactly as she left it. Excellent tour by 2 tour guides. Nice grounds & location by the river.

Beautiful antique old home with gorgeous surroundings. Gives a glimpse of what life was like "back in the day." Antique collectors and history buffs will enjoy.

The history of these buildings weaves and turns many times. These were most interesting people and while "conventional" seem to have eccentric and personal impressions they left behind.

This house was built by my great great grandfather Sewall and was subsequently taken over by Elizabeth Perkins, a wealthy Bostonian back in the victorian days. It has indian shutters to protect against indian attacks and arrows, is absolutely lovely inside and will not disappoint.
