Our four year-old grandson likes nothing more than a good playground -- unless it is a good playground with a miniature train! We usually take him to the Miniature Train and Carousel at Wheaton Regional Park, which is also great fun. The Cabin John Station...More

We've been here many times over15-20 years with various children, and we all have always loved it. There are areas for little kids as well as for kids 8-12.

Great place to walk. Lots of things for kids to do. A train runs around the perimeter. There is a talking trash receptacle called Porky the Pig.

We took our 4 year old for a train ride. 15 minutes. 2$per person. Simple and nice. He enjoyed it and I'm sure around Halloween it's even more fun. The park is great for kids 2 to 6 when the weather is nice.

So I scanned recommended spots and came upon a delightful experience with nature and able to log almost two hours on truly hiking trail in the great outdoors
