Crystal Grottoes Caverns is listed as the #1 Thing To Do in Boonsboro for a reason. Cheryl, my wife, and I were celebrating our 38th anniversary with a stay at Inn Boonsboro (reviewed in a separate TA post). We’ve visited a handful of caves and...More

This is a fantastic cave, lots of really interesting formations -- and the tour guide was very knowledgeable (and humorous!. It's amazing what water can hollow out and form over 200 million years. The tour is pricey and a bit rushed; I would have liked...More

This is by no means what you would expect from any of the larger, commercialized caverns that can be found across the country (Lurary Caverns, etc). These caverns are privately owned and operated and are found in the middle of nowhere. Make sure to bring...More

Don't rely too heavily on the other reviews. We almost didn't go and that would have been a shame. Yes it was 20 bucks for an adult and yes it was 35 min. However, the tour was wonderful. I have never seen so many beautiful...More

I've seen Mammoth Caverns and many others around the country. Crystal Grottos is small but nice. Over priced unfortunately, but a very cool cave experience.
