Found this beautifully restored train station at the end/beginning of the Tow Path right next door. It was an interesting stop along the way. Check the prices before you purchase a gift, the two shops in the station had same items, but very different prices!

We came for a train ride to Frostburg and discovered much more. The visitor's center below has a free informative museum. The staff are all very accommodating and friendly. We had a great time, it's definitely worth the visit.

The building is being restored and is quite historic. Everything is wooden and it feels like a step back in time. Be prepared to climb stairs to get to the train.

The building is interesting in architecture. Gift shop is average--may have specialty books about the area that are of interest. We boarded the train there for the trip to Frostburg--love the dining car and the staff seem to enjoy their jobs.
