This was my first time visiting here. Unfortunately, I was unable to make the hike up to the top. The views were not too great with just the driving loop. It was a nice drive though. And free.

Had a good time exploring the source of the building stone for the C & O canal's Monocacy aqueduct. the trails are well maintained and You can see a long dicstance fron the mumerous overlookson and near the summit.

Nice hike, can be very busy on beautiful day, but worth it. Can find many spot for fabulous pictures. Enjoyable for picnics. Climber can find nice area to practice this hobby. In general , the ride, or walk is very enjoyable

It depends on how long of a hike you want. I parked at the bottom and hiked all the way up. As the other person said, there is also parking near the top if you just want to see the sights and do a short walk to the summit.
