we saw the views from the local casino and they are breathtaking we wanted to walk around but the weather was not conducive for that. We will be back to the do the hike around the lake and utilize the beach for the lake - the water was crystal clear.

I enjoyed a leisurely drive to see the aviary (which I think many people ignore). The aviary is interesting for a 30 minute activity. Not far away is a beautiful Veteran's Cemetery with lake views and sweeping lawns.

My husband and I decided to hike around the lakeside trail loop. Our trail map said 4.7 miles. By the time we were done it was almost 7 miles. And all but one water fountain was shut off for the season. Really wish the miles would have been accurate, we were exhausted!

Truly beautiful setting, especially in October! Wow. Easy access from I-68. Well-maintained, nice facilities. Will be excited to go back. Worth a visit even if you only need a place to stretch your legs while traveling nearby.

We went on a bike ride around the lake, which was gorgeous. Took us about an hour and a half. Near the damn it gets pretty rocky.

This is a very pretty state park, and they have a casino! When we were there, several storms came through and made for some nice photo ops.

We just came back home from spending a week at the campground in the Ash loop. The campground is beautiful, the sites are well spaced out and very well maintained. We had a nice path behind our site to to modern restroom that was remodeled. There is a 5 or 6 mile trail around the lake that we walked one... More

Quite large complex with beach. Clean and orderly. No mosquitos so far first night. Wood for sale at camp entrance not so good.
