I recently had the pleasure to see Herman's Hermits starring Peter Noone at the Maryland Theatre in Hagerstown MD and it was a great experience. This lovely historic theatre is absolutely beautiful inside and has so much character. It was like going back in time to 100 years ago! We had front row seats, which were perfect, but there isn't... Recently attended a concert with a Eagles tribute band playing with the Maryland Symphony Orchestra. This theater is worth a visit just for its beauty and charm. The rows are very close to each other and leave very little room for your legs, especially if your tall, but the seats themselves were replaced not too many years ago and are... More

Last Wednesday (April 5, 2017) we saw the Popovich Comedy Pet Theater here. The show was a lot of fun and the theatre was really enchanting. It is nice to see a classic theatre with all of the personality from long ago -- personal boxes, hard carved mouldings, beautiful paintings, chandeliers, player piano and organ. If you get a chance... More

The Maryland Theater is a jewel of Hagerstown. Restored beautifully and reminds of the grand theaters on Broadway in NYC. Do not miss a chance to see a performance here.

My husband and I went to the theater to see Ron White. My husband grew up in Hagerstown so it was nice for him to go back. The theater is like a step back in time. It is nicely preserved. The seats were comfortable. We sat in the third row and had a great view of the comedy show. The... More

The wife and I went to the Maryland Theater for the Maryland Symphony Orchestra's Valentine concert " Romantic Rachmaninoff" piano concerto no. 2 featuring guest concert pianist Andrew Staupe. The concert was spectacular as is the gorgeous Maryland Theater. Newly refurbished from top to bottom. New seating and an audio loop installed in the floor for the hearing impaired The... More

We attended the Romantic Rachmaninov concert. What a very talented group of musicians! Elisabeth Schulz, the music director and conductor is very gifted and we thoroughly enjoyed her passion in directing this most enjoyable concert. What a wonderful gift to the community the symphony is!!

This is a small, intimate venue that seems to be very old, but well maintained. Seating seemed a little larger than in most theaters (I'm tall!) and was quite comfortable. Staff and volunteers were friendly and helpful.

I grew up in this town and this theater. When I was young, we used to go to the movies on Saturday in this theater. In the past years, I have watched both of my sons graduate in this theater. Last week, I went to see Brian Regan in this theater. It is a beautiful theater inside, they really have... More
