We spent several hours hiking different trails in Susquehanna State Park. We met up with a few equestrians and saw an eagle soaring while walking along the river and up the hills. We hiked on the blue, yellow, and red trails and the views were beautiful. We had parked by the old mill and explored the area after we finished... More

Susquehanna is a nice campground. Especially nice for kids like 8 through 12 where they can ride their bikes around who want to have a little freedom. Inexpensive for families who don't have a lot of money for family vacations.

The park is quiet, peaceful and full of history. Take the time to walk along the numerous hiking trails along the Susquehanna River. There are lots of plants, wildlife and amazing scenery to take in. Go down to Rock Run to see the old mansion and the Civil War history behind it. The picnic area is very nice as well.

Lovely, scenic place to visit. Beautiful spot to pack a lunch, do some walking, and enjoy the water and birds.

This park is amazing & beautiful! We did the Mason Dixon trail with 3 kids with no issues. We also enjoyed lunch by the pond in the Deer Creek Picnic Area. The kids played on the small but clean playground. The trail was great: There were lots of little alcoves to stop, rest, and take it all in. We will... More

We have been to the park quite a few times in all seasons. Your experience will vary greatly depending on what you are doing and where you are going. We have been hiking, mountain biking, and just hanging out. There is an old farm house museum which is good, a nice trail along the river which follows the old canal,... More

We booked this park months ahead of our trip for a family of 6. When choosing the site, we carefully reviewed the information available on the web about each site. We were surprised that there is a non-refundable PER NIGHT fee when you reserve the site. Most state and federal parks have a non-refundable fee for the transaction and it... More
