So my review title has two meanings. The section A portion of the trail is super fun and a great workout however it is extremely rocky with rugged and slick patches. I recommend coming from the north as the traverse is easier to climb up than to climb down. You need really good shoes and to have your hands free... More

Very nice trail, class 1, can be done as a loop. Parking fills quickly. Bathrooms available. Trail markers easy to find and reliable. Great for kids of any age. There are stroller accessible portions nearby - but Billy Goat trail itself is not stroller friendly. Great trail run training trail.

This place has some pretty scary spots. If you fell off of the cliffs you would die. that would not be fun. There are also copperheads. They will kill you. You may ask my good friend Matt.

There are 3 trails each with a different level of difficulty. C is the easiest, just flat rail, B has some climbing required, A if for experienced climbers that are properly attired

I live in the area, and this is one of my favorite spots to get outside and hike. Be aware that some of the loops get crowded on the weekends.

I grew up on this trail. My father would bring me and my brother to hike this trail frequently as a child and I continue that tradition with my kids. The trail has become its own worst enemy because it has become so popular. I would not try and hike it on a weekend or you will literally find yourself... More

The A trail is 1.7 miles, but seems longer when you get to the rocky portion of the trail. The hike along the river has great views of the river gorge and with it being late autumn the foliage was minimal to provide unobstructed views of the river. I would recommend the trail during the work week as the weekends... More

I have no idea why I thought that I could hike the Billy Goat Trail last Saturday and have a peaceful commune with nature. Instead, there were so many people on the trail, in front of me and behind me, that I never lost sight of them. Not to mention the fact that everyone was yakking, shrieking and drowning out the bird...
